Course Description:
An abbreviated Basic Life Support (BLS) course that briefly reviews course information and allows practice of skills and knowledge before testing. Students must hold current certification to participate in this recertification course.
Consistent with the 2025 AHA Guidelines for CPR/ECC. Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Basic Life Support which is valid for 2 years. (2025 Version).
Basic Life Support (BLS) recertification courses allow you to update your skills, refresh your memory and extend your certification by two years. Designed for those whose credentials are still valid (or within 30 days of expiring), our abbreviated BLS recertification courses make it possible to avoid a lapse in certification so you can stay certified and stay on the job.
Who Should Take This Course?
Healthcare Practitioners
This certification is recommended for Nurses, Doctors, Paramedics, Medical Students, Dentists, Dental Hygienists and anyone working in the private or public healthcare sector who currently hold a valid (not yet expired) Basic Life Support Certification.

Pre-Requisites:
This is a Recertification course designed for students that hold a current Basic Life Support certificate that is valid/not expired by more than 30 days from one of the following providers only: American Red Cross, National Safety Council, American Heart Association, and American Health and Safety Institute.
Requirements for Completion:
- Skills demonstration
- 100% attendance
- Participants must submit an electronic copy of their current Basic Life Support certificate prior to the class
Once training has been successfully completed, a CEU certificate, along with a course certificate, will be sent to students via email from the American Red Cross.

Certification:
A 2 Year Certification in Basic Life Support. Red Cross courses offer Digital Certification, an online version of a Red Cross certificate, which provides anytime, anywhere access to student training history and course certificates.
Digital certificates can be viewed, printed or shared online and can be accessed anytime through your Red Cross Account. Each certificate includes a unique ID and a QR code which meets employment requirements and allows employers to easily confirm your certificate is valid. There is no need to carry your printed certificate around anymore!
