Mask Fit Testing (Qualitative)
Mask Fit Testing is required for employees who wear tight-fitting respirators to ensure a proper seal and effective respiratory protection. Our OSHA-compliant qualitative Mask Fit Testing is available at convenient locations in Miami, Hollywood, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, serving clients across Broward County and South Florida
A confirmed booking is required to attend.
Requirements for Completion:
- Participants must be clean-shaven as this test cannot be performed with facial hair.
- Participants must not eat, drink, or smoke 60 minutes prior to their scheduled testing as it could interfere with the accuracy of the test results. This includes coffee, tea, and any other fluids other than water.

This option is for workers using reusable half-face respirators.
Participants must bring their own reusable 3M Half Face Respirator, including 5000 / 6000 / 7000 Series models, to the appointment.

5000, 5001, 5271, 6100, 6111, 6200, 6202, 6209, 6297, 6300, 6302, 6311, 6501, 6502, 6503, 7511, 7512, 7513
POP provides filters for testing purposes only. Replacement filters must be purchased by the mask wearer or employer.
Available for R95 Half Face Respirator Mask Fit Testing in Miami, Hollywood, Fort Lauderdale, and Broward County.

If you have completed Mask Fit Testing previously, please bring your existing certificate.
If you do not see your required mask model listed, we can accommodate your Fit Testing if you bring your required mask.
Course Length:
- 10 to 15 minutes in-class
Who Should Take This Course?
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) [Respiratory Protection Standard], [29 CFR 1910.134], requires that fit tests be conducted for those workers required to wear respiratory protection. Under this standard either a quantitative (QNFT) fit test or a qualitative (QLFT) fit test is acceptable. Your use of a Portacount to conduct quantitative fit testing is acceptable provided the tests are conducted according to the recommendations of the manufacturer of the respirator.
