Course Description:
M3 Full Face Respirator Mask Fit Testing is required for employees wearing tight-fitting half face masks for protection against solids and liquid aerosols, as well as oil-based particulates. Intended for those working in engineering, professional removal of mold, lead-based paints, woodworking, assembly, chemical cleanup, chiseling, cleaning, furnace operations, grinding, laboratories, machining, masonry, painting, sanding, sawing, chemical handling and those working with fiberglass insulation to help reduce nuisance odors and chemical splash.
This procedure helps ensure the user has selected the correct size respirator and that a seal against the face can be made in order to provide the expected protection. This course will also cover Respirator selection, Respirator limitations, Sensitivity test and fit test, Donning and user seal checks, Storage and maintenance instructions, Cartridge dating, filter change frequency and limitations.
These Mask Fit Tests require the participant to bring their current reusable 6000/7000 Series Mask along with them to the test.

Who Should Take This Course?
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) [Respiratory Protection Standard], [29 CFR 1910.134], requires that fit tests be conducted for those workers required to wear respiratory protection. Under this standard either a quantitative (QNFT) fit test or a qualitative (QLFT) fit test is acceptable. Your use of a Portacount to conduct quantitative fit testing is acceptable provided the tests are conducted according to the recommendations of the manufacturer of the respirator including OSHA Lead Standard and US-EPA Guidelines for mold.

Pre-Requisites:
Please bring any previously issued Mask Fit Testing certificates obtained in the past.
Please bring any non disposable full face masks you wish to have tested. Palm Over Palm will only provide the filter replacements for these masks to conduct testing. Future filter replacements must be purchased by the Mask wearer or their employer.
Requirements for Completion:
- Participants MUST NOT eat, drink, or smoke 60 minutes prior to their scheduled testing as it could interfere with the accuracy of the test results. This includes coffee, tea, and any other fluids.
Certification:
Upon completion of M3 Respiratory Testing, participants will receive a wallet-sized 1 year Certification in M3 Respiratory-Fit Test.
Refund Policy:
Palm Over Palm First Aid & CPR Corp. has a NO REFUND policy as a lot of effort goes into planning our courses and scheduling our instructors. However, if you contact us more than 2 calendar days in advance of your training we would be more than happy to reschedule you to another convenient day.
For reschedule requests with less than 2 days notice from the date of your training, a rescheduling fee will apply. Please note that if you cancel the same day as your training or miss your course without notice, your seat will be forfeited and you must re-book your course to attend on a new date. No refunds will be issued for unused seats before or after the scheduled training date.
Our instructors are paid in advance and many of our classes are filled to capacity. When a student fails to attend, they have also taken a seat away from someone else who could have attended the class.
